  • Facility of CM Window would now be extended to the sub-division level: CM 27-11-2016

    • Chandigarh, Nov 27–The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that the facility of CM Window, currenty available at the district level, would now be extended to the sub-division level to make things easy for the people of the state. Work on the project is apace.
    • This was disclosed by the Chief Minister while addressing a public meeting in Sonipat today. He announced a slew of incentives for the Sonipat Assembly constituency, including connecting the Narela road to Rohtak road with a bypass to reduce traffic congestion, shifting of the city bus-stand to GT Road, shifting of the sabzi mandi, expansion of the bypass, beautification of the drain flowing in the middle of city, increasing capacity of the sugar mill, four-laning of the Old Delhi Road and regularisation of new colonies.
    • The Chief Minister said that development would be carried out in Sonipat to meet the expectations of the people. He announced installation of CCTV cameras in the city, replacement of old electricity wires and poles, shifting of the Fire Brigade office, upgrading the Lahrara School to Class XII, and construction of community centres in Sector 3 and 21. He also approved Rs 30 crore for development of villages falling under the civic body in the Rai Assembly constituency.
    •         Referring to the Satluj-Yamuna Canal, he said it was the life line of the farmers of the state. Efforts are being made to bring the state its rightful share in the river waters. In this regard, an all-party delegation will meet the President, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee on November 28, 2016.
    • Describing the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi’s demonetisation decision as historic, he said it would strengthen the Indian economy. He urged the people to adopt electronic payment method. In 1947, one dollar used to be equal to one rupee but due to the wrong policies followed by previous governments, the value of the Indian rupee has now been reduced to only 15 per cent.
    • Speaking on the occasion, the Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, said the Chief Minister had followed the principles of ‘Sabka Sath-Sabka Vikas’ and ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek’ for carrying out all-round development of the state. The government has been providing transparent governance to the people and various schemes have been made online for their benefit. The drinking water problem of Soniapt has also been resolved.
