Chandigarh, June 14 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today underlined the significance of Yoga in our life saying that with practice of yoga, our mind, body and intellect thrive in harmony which adds passion and enthusiasm in life. Also, it acts as a stress buster.
The Chief Minister was addressing the participants at concluding day function of 3-day State Level Yoga Training Camp in Panchkula, near here where Haryana’s brand ambassador for Yoga and Ayurveda Baba Ramdev imparted training to the participants including Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, Ministers, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, MLAs, Chief Secretary and other senior officers.
The Chief Minister said that there is no such medicine which can make life delighted, but it is possible with the help of Yoga. With the efforts of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi, yoga got recognition worldwide and more than 170 countries of the United Nation Organization have supported Yoga. Now, Yoga is touching new heights as Baba Ramdev is also promoting it at international level.
He said that this training camp would prove helpful in making International Yoga programme a great success which is to be organized in Chandigarh on June 21. It would be the second annual event when entire world would perform yoga on this day. Prime Minister himself would perform yoga with more than 31,000 participants at Capital Complex, Chandigarh and the programme would be telecast worldwide. As many as 10,500 participants from Haryana would participate in the programme.
Describing the International Yoga Day as historical, the Chief Minister said that more than 5000 years old yoga heritage of India would reach worldwide on June 21. He also lauded the efforts of Patanjali Yogpeeth and Member, Yoga Special Committee in Union Ministry of Ayush Dr Jayadeep Arya for promoting yoga in Haryana.
On this occasion, Baba Ramdev said that yoga was limited to a special category of people in ancient times, but now it has become popular with the efforts of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi. Everybody should spare an hour daily for yoga. With the concept of vedic and modern education, Acharyakulum would be set up in each district in Haryana. He also appreciated the Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal as yoga is still an integral part of his life.
Health Minister Mr Anil Vij thanked the Baba Ramdev, Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal and others for making this training camp a great success. He said that we should not confine only to the celebrations of International Yoga Day but also make yoga as a way of life.
On this occasion, Chief Minister announced to give Rs 5000 each to all participating children of Acharyakulum and gave away certificates of appreciation to students of Gurukul, Ghaseda. He honoured trainers of Patanjli by presenting them with shawls.
