  • Horticulture and floriculture would be promoted across the state under a new scheme to increase the profitability of agriculture: CM 26-06-2016

    • Chandigarh, June 26 –The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that horticulture and floriculture would be promoted across the state under a new scheme to increase the profitability of agriculture and improve the economic condition of farmers.
    • Stating this here today, the Chief Minister said that during the first phase of the scheme, the government had decided to promote cultivation of fruit and flower crops within 100-kilometre radius of Delhi.
    • Work is underway on an action plan for cultivating more crops with less water in Haryana on the pattern of Israel. The state government is making efforts to ensure that each farmer earned Rs one lakh per acre, he added.
