Chandigarh August 1: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded approval for connection of a new water outlet at kilometer 44-R JC-V of Jawaharlal Nehru Canal based drinking water supply scheme for the discharge of 4.68 cusec water and surrender of 4.02 cusec discharge at outlet 39.605 R JC-IV in district Rewari. The outlet connection has been planned with prospective population upto the year 2021.
While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that the scheme is for new water works Badhrana group of 31 villages and three Dhanis and water works at village Baghthala for four villages.
He said that the rate of supply of water has been taken as 70 Litres per capita per day (lpcd) and considering for next five years that is upto 2021. The requirement has been calculated by considering 16 days running of channel in cycle of 32 days.
He said that the Chief Minister has also accorded administrative approval amounting to over Rs 8.61 crore for beautification of road from Gurudwara sixth Path Sahi to Railway Over Bridge (ROB) via Parshuram Chowk in district Kurukshetra. Also, he has accorded administrative approval amounting to over Rs 2.48 crore for the construction of Pantoon Bridge across Yamuna river near village Gurwari in district Palwal.
At present there is no bridge on Yamuna river near village Gurwari. After the construction of bridge, the villagers living across Yamuna river on Uttar Pradesh side would bring their agriculture products for sale to Palwal Mandi by using this Pantoon Bridge. This would result in increased revenue in the form of Mandi fee to Haryana, he added.
