Chandigarh August 3: Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal has approved over Rs 5.38 crore for the construction of box type rectangular section in the stretch of RD 139300 to 147300 of Markanda Distributary.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that channel from RD 139300 to 147300 runs through “abadi” area of Cheeka town and the effluent water along with garbage such as polythene, cow dung of the area is being dumped by residents in the channel between these reaches. This creates hindrance in the free-flow of water and it gets contaminated and causes nuisance.
The spokesman said that Chief Minister has also accorded administrative approval of over Rs 1.98 crore for the construction of 5.5 metres wide new road from Badsahi Pul to village Pakhana in district Karnal and for over Rs 43.12 crore for the construction of bye pass or periphery road connecting Hisar road with Ratia road in Tohana city. Also, he has accorded administrative approval of over Rs 2.80 crore for the construction of road from Bhushan Kalan to Rajasthan Border, Naisrana in district Mohindergarh.
