  • CM approved the proposal of the Power Department to write off the outstanding total amount of Rs 84,39,119 of electricity duty of three firms namely M/s Competent Alloys, Ballabgarh, M/s Dalmia Dadri Cement Factory, Dadri and M/s Rama Fibres Ltd., Bhiwani. 8-09-2016

    • Chandigarh, Sept 8- Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today approved the proposal of the Power Department to write off the outstanding total amount of Rs 84,39,119 of electricity duty of three firms namely M/s Competent Alloys, Ballabgarh, M/s Dalmia Dadri Cement Factory, Dadri and M/s Rama Fibres Ltd., Bhiwani.
    • While the M/s Competent Alloys, Ballabgarh has the outstanding amount of electricity bill and electricity duty worth Rs 16,01,543, M/s Dalmia Dadri Cement Factory, Dadri has the similar outstanding amount of Rs 30,03,085 and M/s Rama Fibres Ltd., Bhiwani has outstanding amount of Rs 38,34,491.
    • This outstanding amount could not be recovered despite best efforts of the DHBVN and the amount of electricity bills against these firms was declared as ‘bad debt’ by the Nigam. Therefore, it was decided to write off this amount.
    • In case of M/s Competent Alloys, Ballabgarh, the outstanding amount remained unrecovered during last 17 years. In case of M/s Dalmia Dadri Cement Factory, Dadri, the outstanding amount had remained unrecovered since last 30 years and it also remained unrecovered for 19 years in case of M/s Rama Fibres Ltd., Bhiwani. This outstanding amount is still irrecoverable in case of these three firms
